Taito is a Finnish man’s first name. It is one of the names born at the end of the 19th century that were associated with qualities or practical skills that parents wanted in their children. Taito was proposed as a name as early as 1865, but was not included in the Finnish nomenclature until 1950. Since then, Taito’s name day has been celebrated on 14 April.
